【タイトル】: 初めての洋書
【コメント】: 和書荒野へ (集英社文庫)を先に読んでいたのですが、
クリスの残した手紙や、数多くの有名な著者の残した一文、訳す前の地名など、
当事者たちの世界観をしりたくて洋書を買いました。
和書では日本人のために大まかな地図が載せられていましたが、
洋書は地形が分かるようになっています(地図のページ数は同じくらい）。
Into the Wildを語るには欠かせない一冊だと思うし、

【コメント】: I think the story was ok. In some parts of this book, Krakauer is stretching the idea of the whole circumstance. I bet the article in Outside magazine is probably better to read and you get the main ideas faster and more powerfully. The story is pretty good to talk about though. Chris may have died, but he tried to live his life in the fullest. It is pretty pointless to go into his thinkin...

【タイトル】: A good scenario of the old "man vs. nature" theme
【コメント】: A fine, although depressing, book about a very idealistic young man who ventures up to live in the wilds of Alaska, without any companions, food, equipment. A good scenario of the old "man vs. nature" theme. Also, if you missed reading Tino Georgiou's masterpiece--The Fates, go and read it.
